Grant Thornton
When Grant Thornton committed to staying in Liverpool’s Grade I listed Royal Liver Building, they set out to create a modern, sustainable workspace that honoured the building’s heritage. In collaboration with Claremont, VEVO delivered a bespoke lighting and acoustic solution that supported both the architectural vision and the needs of a hybrid working culture.
From adaptive lighting zones and recycled PET acoustic panels to smart controls and custom finishes, every element was designed to balance performance, comfort and sustainability. A carbon calculator guided decision-making throughout, helping reduce the project’s environmental impact without compromising quality.
One of the project’s most distinctive features involved transforming salvaged security doors into ceiling rafts, complete with integrated lighting, planting and acoustic treatment. Despite tight timeframes and heritage constraints, the result is a cohesive, practical and forward-thinking space that has been shortlisted for multiple design awards.

Softcat London
VEVO partnered with Claremont to deliver a bold, custom lighting scheme for Softcat’s flagship London office: a 38,000 sq ft workspace designed to be as dynamic and flexible. Inspired by the London Underground, we developed a continuous, colour-changing tube lighting system that flows seamlessly through the space, linking zones and creating a strong visual identity.
One of the standout challenges was achieving fully transparent corners: a detail essential to the uninterrupted, fluid design. This was something no other lighting company could offer. Thanks to careful testing and clever engineering by our specialist Rob Schofield, we created a system that bends and curves seamlessly through space, using custom 3D moulding and precision assembly. Our installation team then worked closely with the electricians to ensure every connection was flawless, guaranteeing the system performed as smoothly as it appeared.
Alongside this bespoke tube lighting, we also supplied and installed modular linear lighting throughout the office, selected for both performance and visual consistency with the overall scheme.
This project is a clear showcase of our ability to design and deliver truly custom lighting solutions that others simply can’t match.
